26th Annual Sexual Medicine Society of North America (SMSNA)

One of the most important meetings that I attend every year is the annual Sexual Medicine Society of North America (SMSNA). As a small subset of board-certified urologists, we strive to produce the most up to date research in both “workbench” and clinical investigations — to further the advancement of male and female sexual medicine, pelvic floor dysfunction, and reconstructive surgery. And in 2025, the yearly conference was held in no other than my back door…Dallas, Texas!
Because so many national/local as well as international UroFillR providers would be in attendance at the SMSNA, Dr Paul Perito, and his associate, Dr Alfie Suarez-Sarmiento, asked me and my wife, Michelle (co-owners/ providers of Elite Enhancement of East Texas), if we would be willing to host the first annual UroFillR “MasterClass” course at our Dallas office to advance the skills of already existing certified doctors. UroFillR is the only world-wide, patented cosmetic dermal filler (hyaluronic acid) penile girth enhancement procedure, invented by Dr Perito in Miami/Coral Gables, Florida.
We contacted existing clients who might want additional girth or touch-ups as well as acquired new clients and held the event at our office at 7515 Greenville Avenue on October 10. After coffee, breakfast, and a meet and greet, Dr Saurez-Sarmiento presented a power point presentation of challenging cases, new and advance injection techniques, patient selection, and a few tidbits and pearls. Dr Perito gave an informative speech of “where we came from” and “where we are going” and how we were advancing the brand based upon solidarity and passion, collaboration, commitment to continued learning, marketing and media, client education, and building relationships with each man (and partner). He promised us that this event would be only one of countless training events to come!
Then, to our surprise, Paul and Alfie presented us with a plaque — a recognition for Elite Enhancement as the first ever UroFillR Center of Excellence in America!! We were so proud to receive such a high honor…for the two of them to place me in the ranks of “the best” among all the certified providers. And to receive this in front of the other talented, excellent urological surgeons and UroFillR providers…in Dallas…in our backyard…in our own office…was a profound sense of accomplishment.
And then to top things off, Alfie presented me with a pair of surgical scrubs in light blue with the UroFillR logo and my name…all certified doctors receive a pair of black ones upon finishing training, but blue recognizes one as a “Master Injector.” As the first and only provider in the USA to receive such a title, I was humbled and honored!!
And then, as one should expect, Michelle and I presented Alfie and Paul each with a pair of cowboy boots, hand selected by us of course, as a token of our appreciation and welcome to Texas! Being in Dallas, Texas, it would have been inappropriate not to do so, right? And it turns out, both had a birthday surrounding the event, so it seemed perfect! With a professional photographer capturing all the events, we proceeded to the exam rooms where Paul, Alfie, and I advanced the knowledge base and skill level of the attendees, showing each of them new techniques and ways to improve overall cosmetic outcomes with live demonstrations. And all the providers shared their own experiences and knowledge as well.
Attendees were from all over the country, as well as two international urologists: Dr Alan McCool, Dr Sloan Teeple, Dr Shenelle Wilson, Dr Matthew Brennan, Dr Ashley Tapscott, Dr Anas Hasan (Iran), and Dr Gabriel Veber (Brazil- a Master Injector). The UroFillR Dallas MasterClass program was considered a great success by all, and we know there will be more to come. The camaraderie, old friendships rekindled, new ones formed, and the overall brand solidified and emblazoned was amazing. The common thread felt between all of us was predicated upon the ideology that UroFillR was based upon a solid foundation; a common desire; a common goal; a feeling that the “relationship with our clients” was paramount; having a reproducible, safe, and efficacious answer to men desiring the most aesthetically pleasing penile girth. Requiring top notch urologists as certified providers, these pillars we were establishing, led by Dr Perito and Dr Suarez-Sarmiento, would set the stage for launching UroFillR to the next level, always moving forwards and upwards, never settling for a plateau.
It never crossed Michelle’s and my minds that when we accepted Paul’s and Alfie’s offer to teach us the UroFillR technique (knowledge, training and skills, and marketing) and then starting a company, Elite Enhancement of East Texas, that we would be this successful and would become a COE. Michelle’s vision became ours, and my dreams became ours. All certified UroFillR providers strive for the best cosmetic penile girth enhancement — not only for overall outcomes, but for the journey — to build relationships with our clients and significant others — to educate them on what “not” to choose— to advance the brand as the world’s premier standard— to help all providers to continue in refining and learning advanced techniques — to assist Paul and Alfie with their vision boards — to let all men know that a safe, reproducible, efficacious cosmetic penile enhancement…the only world-wide patented dermal filler procedure…does truly exist. All of us are so blessed to be traveling down this road and advancing UroFillR .
